The only thing the .380 revolver has over a .38 spl is that it is slightly more compact, the frame is a bit shorter than the same gun in .38. If you have another .380, you only need one cartridge. I haven't tried it this particular round, but usually (unless it's a revolver chambered for a rimless case) the round would just drop straight thru the cylinder.
