Findings of abdominal x-rays and/or ultrasound examination usually indicate cystotomy in pets. Cystotomy is most indicated for treatment of bladder problems including removal of bladder stones, bladder tumors, and blood clots. WebTube cystotomy is typically performed in small ruminants for treatment of obstructive urolithiasis. Tube cystotomy can be performed in other species.
